IKR? At first they were fairly reliable but the last couple of years it’s just, what the hell, super random. I am honestly expecting Sailor Moon vol 12 arriving first even though it’s released a month later XD;
Though there may sincerely be something wrong if the volume 11 takes over a month to arrive.. then again, Wide Sargasso Sea did take like 2 months to arrive so everything’s possible!!!
Really? Every time I ordered there it arrived super quickly! Though I always order it through Amazon, I dunno if that makes any difference at all :)
It used to deliver really quickly for me, but then in the recent years.. hmm. The most annoying thing was when I needed a book within 2 weeks (which I’d say is enough time, and it is, generally) and it arrived after 2 months. Sigh. I was nearly in trouble then. I don’t order it through Amazon though, always through their own site.
Ordering at the BookDepository is always quite interesting where shipping is concerned.
One time, they’ll deliver what you’ve ordered really quickly - other times, you’ll be waiting for weeks and weeks (tip: don’t order urgently needed books through the BD, this scenario *will* happen!). But then they also manage things like this:
11 days ago, I ordered 4 different books through the BookDepository. Book 1 (The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald) was dispatched on July the 17th, book 2 (The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery) was dispatched on July the 18th, book 3 (Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad) was dispatched on July the 19th, and finally the last book (Eight Days Of Luke, by Diana Wynne Jones) was dispatched on July the 23rd.
So it’s really logical, that Eight Days Of Luke is the first book to arrive, huh? BD always pulls stuff like this. Don’t order several volumes in one series, they’ll send the last ones first!!
That being said, the BookDepository is still awesome and I order there quite often (cheap books! no shipping costs!). Just make sure you don’t need the books urgently.
Sinqua Walls, who as of late has been recurring on MTV’s Teen Wolf as pack member Boyd, has been cast on ABC’s fantastical sophomore drama as Sir Lancelot, TVLine has learned exclusively.
I’m hearing that Once Upon a Time will introduce Lancelot as a “sword for hire with nothing to lose,” a onetime proud member of King Arthur’s Round Table who has since been banished, tearing him away from his true love (Queen Guinevere, as lore tells us).
I don’t know who this dude is, but I like this casting.
Niiiice. Does this mean we’ll get Arthurian Legend stuff? ‘Cause that’d be awesome. Please have Morgana in it as well!!!!!! Also, non-typical casting? I approve. Please continue this line with the other Arthurian Legend characters ‘cause that’d be cool and different and refreshing and wheeeee.
