Okay, Le Moine is a weird and disturbing movie and I wonder why I wanted to see it all.
I’m now going to try and improve my mood by watching something over the top happy, like To The Beautiful You Cardcaptor Sakura, because I need to be cheered up and less freaked out stat.
Also need distraction from the big question: do I follow my seminars in Dutch or English? Both options are open to me and I just don’t know what to choose. English has my preference, but Dutch is my mother tongue.. I still have until Monday, but I just don’t know what’s best. The book’s in English though, my English is good enough, plus English is the earlier class so my day won’t be completely wasted. But ugh. Difficult, difficult. I never had these problems while still choosing seminars from the German faculty.

tell me which one to watch and I’ll do it, there’s really not a lot to it :D
Awesome :D I’m writing a friend of mine a recommendation post later today, I’ll send it on to you when I’ve finished! Then you can choose which one you find most appealing :’)

All the story of Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki is not only amazing but truly touching, his dedication and drive. Nausicaa is beautiful but I think no movie has ever made a stronger impression in me than Hotaru no Haka.
I want to see Hotaru no Haka. No really, I do. But I’m not good with war stories and I’ve been trying to mentally prepare myself for this movie for months. But it hasn’t happened yet. I never seem to be in the mood for complete heartbreak.. though I definitely should see it sometime.
Though I must say most of his movies have left a strong impression on me. Maybe not all, but most are movies I want to own on DVD stat. (I now have 9, which is not bad I think for someone who only started collecting recently. :’) )
Google Chrome just automatically translated an English page into English for me. Thanks Google, that was real handy and useful.

I love it when people can get this excited over something :D
It’s because Studio Ghibli is actually perfect. I don’t know how they do it.
What do I have to do to get you to watch one of their movies?? Because I still think you’re missing out. although I’ll be heartbroken if you don’t like it, omg
My favourites from them are just some of the most perfect things I’ve ever seen. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted from movies.
After seeing Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind and the documentary about the birth of Studio Ghibli, I can’t help but being even more impressed by the men behind the studio. I mean, they made a manga for Nausicaa because Hayao Miyazaki (story/animation) wanted to do the story and Toshio Suzuki (producer) believed in it so much.
Just think about this.
They made a manga just in order to get the movie greenlit. Talk about some serious dedication.
I also think that after I finish collecting the Sailor Moon manga, I might try to collect the 7 volumes of the Nausicaa manga next. Because omg the movie is perfect and Nausicaa is perfect and gahhh.
